French Legal Translation & Financial Translation
Translation for law and finance requires an awareness of legal language and terminology, as well recognition of potential differences in the legal systems of the source and target countries. As a law graduate and qualified translator, I am sensitive to the peculiarities of legal translation and have experience of translating legal language.
A period spent working onsite for a corporate law firm in Paris, translating documents within the realm of corporate law and finance, proved invaluable in terms of being able to work as a translator alongside practising lawyers. It also affirmed the need for regular translator/client communication.
As I have also worked in finance, a significant amount of my work is finance-related. I have access to a wide range of research materials and can arrange for work to be certified by a qualified solicitor or accountant for an additional fee. I can also arrange for translations to be notarised.
